About Us

	IdéWood is a division of Philippine & Scandinavian Design, FILTRA Inc and is managed by it's founder Per Stangegaard, who has been actively involved in the wood business since 1975, and in the Philippines since 1983. "Woodworking is a family tradition, and goes back to the late 1800s, where my great grandfather founded a furnitureproduction on the Danish Island of Bornholm."
	Jun Llanes is in charge of our own productions. He is educated as expert furnituremaker / carpenter, and has specialized in sample making. He has honed his skills though postings in factories overseas, and has gained a solid knowledge about European quality expectations.
We work from our own facilities in Manila, But also employ a number of quality proven sub-contractors with whom we have worked for more than 25 years. We employ a total of 15 people including design, sample making, production, finishing, logistics, marketing assistance, and administration MISSION/VISION: We aim to be recognized a s responsible partner in International trading of products and services. In so doing, we also hope to be able to help reduce the gaps between East and West, while using the strenghts of both worlds to help improve the understanding and exchange of values between both cultures. In IdeWood, we wish to show respect for people, traditions, and environment, while at the same time encouraging and actively supporting sustainability, development and growth. We shall focus on quality, design, and innovation, and wish to create value-for-money world-class products and brands, based on our know-how and passion for wood. We shall constantly improve our quality, and enhance our own, as well as outsourced, production capability to ensure effecient and competitive production for our customers. Furthermore, we wish to become the leading export trading house of Philippine forest products, while at the same time becoming a major player in the local market for quality timber products.
